Mets,Senga send Diamondbacks slithering back to Arizona after 11-1 win, taking 3 of 4 in the Series.

Mets 11 Diamondbacks 1 (Citi Field, Flushing NY)

Mets record: 68-78

Mets streak: Won 3

WP - Kodai Senga (11-7)

LP - Merrill Kelly (11-7)

Seat on the Korner: Kodai Senga

We select the star of the game and virtually invite him to a Seat on the Korner, just as Ralph Kiner used to do for his studio postgame show on WOR-channel 9 broadcasts in the early decades of the Mets.

Tonight's Seat on the Korner belongs Kodai Senga, who once again produced a strong outing, pitching six shutout innings, limiting a potent Diamondback lineup to two hits, striking out ten while only walking two in route to his 11th win of the season,he is only the 11th rookie in franchise history to reach double- digit wins in a season, the first Mets rookie to reach double-digit wins since Dillon Gee won 13 games as a rookie in 2011. He lowered his era to a sub 3 as well.

This afternoon's turning point of the game occurred on the bottom of the third. Scoreless Brandon Nimmo doubled home Daniel Vogelbach and Mark Vientos which is all the run support Kodai Senga would need.

Three Keys

It's the Pitching Stupid

Quality starting pitching. Kodai Senga followed Joey Lucchesi's gem with a gem of his own .It was the tenth straight game in which a Mets starter has gone at least five innings and given up three runs or less.

7th Heaven and the Joy of Six

7 of the Mets starters had a least one hit, and Six Mets had at least one RBI the only starters without a hit were Francisco Lindor and Rafael Ortega. Jonathan Arauz made the most of his one at bat with a three run pinch hit home run, his first pinch hit of his career.
