Seat on the Korner: Tylor Megill
We select the star of the game and virtually invite him to a Seat on the Korner, just as Ralph Kiner used to do for his studio postgame show on WOR-channel 9 broadcasts in the early decades of the Mets.
Tylor Megill gave the Mets their second strong start in a row against the best team in baseball. Tylor rebounded from a rocky start as Josh Lowe lead off the game with a doubles on a sharp line drive to left field, Randy Arozarena followed with a single on a soft ground ball to third baseman Brett Baty with Josh Lowe advancing to 3rd. Megill induced Harold Ramirez to ground into a force out, as Lowe scored, but then Tylor got out of the inning by getting Brandon Lowe to ground into a double play. He would not give up another hit until Josh Lowe homered with 2 outs in the 6th. Megill went 6 innings scattering 4 hits , 1 walk and only giving up 2 runs to gain his 5th win of the season.

It seems as the Mets have not been in the right place at the right time all season long, in the top of the 8th after Wander Franco got a pinch hit single,Jeff Brigham came in and replaced Brooks Raley who got Christian Bethancourt to pop out to first baseman Pete Alonso. With one out Franco attempted to steal second base, Manuel Margot grounded the ball directly to second base where second baseman Eduardo Escobar was there covering for the steal, Escobar threw on to first baseman Pete Alonso for an inning ending double play.
